Ancala welcomed investors from around the world to Stockholm for its Annual General Meeting, combining updates on the firm’s performance with a site visit to Svinninge Marina, one of the largest marinas in Ancala’s marina platform, Port Adhoc.

Hosted at the iconic Grand Hôtel and in the room where the first Nobel Prize was awarded, the AGM featured presentations from senior Ancala team members and portfolio company CEOs, covering fund performance, pipeline, asset management and ESG.

This year’s programme included an inaugural asset management roundtable exploring how Ancala worked alongside the management team of HS Orka, Iceland’s largest private power producer, to deliver a series of major projects on time and on budget despite unprecedented uncertainty. Investors also enjoyed a sector deep dive into marinas, following Ancala’s investment in Port Adhoc, one of Europe’s largest marina platforms, earlier this year.

Following the presentations, investors travelled to Svinninge Marina for an exclusive tour, gaining first-hand insights into its operations and infrastructure characteristics. Guests then boarded a boat for a scenic journey through the spectacular Stockholm archipelago, taking in the views as the sun set.

Swedish culture featured throughout the event. Guests enjoyed Swedish-Asian fusion cuisine overlooking Stockholm, followed by a more traditional Swedish dining experience at an idyllic restaurant in the archipelago.

Sweden’s rich musical heritage also featured prominently, culminating in a surprise appearance by an ABBA tribute band aboard the boat on the return journey to central Stockholm. A fitting finale to a memorable event!

Thank you to all our investors who joined us. It was a fantastic opportunity to share our progress, showcase the success of Ancala’s approach and spend time together.

Now to work out how we top it next year!
