The transaction provides a platform for select additional solar acquisitions.
The transaction is financed with an 18 year term loan and benefits from a 20 year PPA. Ancala acquired the assets from Anesco, a leading UK solar developer which manages over 400MW of solar assets.
The transaction follows Ancala’s acquisition of Green Highland Renewables, a leading independent hydro power developer and asset owner, in April 2015. “The solar portfolio is an excellent addition to our growing asset portfolio and benefits from long term financing, a long term PPA and inflation linked renewable incentives” said Spence Clunie, Managing Partner of Ancala Partners.
