She has specialised in sustainability for over 15 years and joined Ancala in 2021.
Prior to joining Ancala, Filipa worked at Wates and helped deliver the company’s corporate sustainability strategy, leading environmental performance, improvement initiatives, and social value projects. Before Wates, Filipa worked as a senior sustainability consultant, advising and creating sustainability strategies for clients and large real estate projects. Her early career was at the BRE, where she worked on the technical and operational development of the internationally recognised BREEAM standards for real estate assets.
Filipa is a Chartered Environmentalist, a member of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability and holds a BSc degree in Environmental Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, in Lisbon.
